Mend Simpson esprit 500 Water Filling Lid

How can I fix our Simpson esprit 500?

The machine has filled up with water, It doesnt stop filling up when you lift the lid & it does not start the washing / agitation process. It only emptys. Any ideas?

The fact it does not stop filling when lid is lifted & it not agitating when full is 2 seperate problems. Not agitating when full could be bad wiring down to motor, a bad timer or a faulty forward/reverse module inside the panel. Check the lid switch when on final spin. Lift the lid & you should here brake solenoid drop back to stop machine. If it doesn't & keeps spinning then the lid switch is faulty.
