my zanussi progrsss 1400 wash mc is showing a fill time out fault?

i have checked some info and have checked the water supply - good. kinks in the hose - none cleared filter at front of machine. lifted lid and checked filter and hoses at water inlet point- all clear machine still stopping filling after a few seconds and quarter fill. really stumped as to anything else to check /try or ask for
