Mend Sea-Doo GTI Starting Purchased Start

starting a GTI?

just purchased used 1999 GTI. previos owner says to start it I have to hold the choke out with one hand, keep my knee on the throttle, and push the start/key with the other hand. Does this make sense? Would a mfg make a starting progression that requires " 3 hands"

Ye gods and I thought you were talking about a Golf GTi.....maybe if you pull the choke out you can twist it to lock in the on position, as in the good old car days?
