Mend Alarm System Off We Home

my alarm system goes off while we are at home ?

when the alarm goes off while we are at home it shows the word service on the control panel.Would this require a new backup battery to be fitted.

Mine did the same and it was the backup battery.
Give it a go it's cheaper than calling and engineer my Aunt just paid £200 for a £28 battery to be replaced. hows hat for a rip off. I just whipped the fuse out of mine and haven't used it since as house alway occupied.
