Mend Electrolux Z1015 Inside Power Cord

How can I open up my Electrolux vacuum?

I need to get inside an Electrolux Z1015 vacuum so I can replace the power cord, which has severed. I've removed the four obvious screws, but the outer shell is refusing to budge and seems to be held in place internally.

On the Z1015 there is no seal. After taking the four screws out slide a screwdriver down by the lug of the filter cover and remove the cover. That is it !!!

the rubber bumper that goes around the vac on the seam slides out and the vac opens up
the bumper serves as a locking mech
