new cable on electrolux mendo?

I think it's called a Mondo rather than Mendo.

I find repairs to cable winders difficult to achieve - if your cable shows signs of being intermittent then first try cuttlng away about 6" of cable and fit a new plug - this often fixes cable faults.

If the cable is visibly damaged along its length then consider fitting a cable joiner - Amazon sell them Flex Connector £3.48

If you need to access the winder then you will need to separate the two halves of the case.
