Mend Sensor Front Door

How can I fix sensor on front door?

My husband cut electricity power off to replace a light bulb and when he put power back on the sensor on door doesn't beep and I don't know when someone coming in

Thanks Nick and gts for your prompt replies we have ordered a new battery and the panel is a veritas R8 plus installed in 1991
