I have veritas8c setting the zones with delays?

Does anyone know if and how I set two zones to have a delay on them because my alarm is at my front door when I try to go down stairs in the morning there is a sensor at the bottom of the stairs and in the front room I need to set adelay of 8sec to go down stairs and threw the room to turn the alarm off before it sounds big help if someone knew as it's waking the street up and people are pigged off thanks
