Mend Janome Memory Craft 6000 Sewing Machine Thread

My new home memory craft 6000 will not draw the bobbin thread up?

The top thread gets stuck on the hook that is housed around the bobbin. Any way to fix that?

it could be a nick on the bobbincase that prevent thread from releasing around bobbin case.only way to replace bobbincase or take some fine emery paper to smooth bobbincase
