Janome Memorycraft 5700 sewing machine?

My machine was stored for a while. When I tried to sew it locked up and refused to go through it's hello. I took it apart and cleaned and oiled it. Now it goes through it's hello and gives me a broken thread screen. It is correctly threaded with the correct bobbin and a good needle. What can I do to fix this? Thanks
