How do I re-attach the Spring ext elect clutch? # 61?

RE:craftsman model 917.273634 catalog page 46 & 47, item # 61, part number 174883, spring ext elect clutch.

The spring came loose while I was installing a new deck drive belt. The end with the retainer pin is still attached. The opposite end with the u-shaped end is the end I need to reconnect. Can anyone tell me where it is attached and how do I attach it?

Slip the other end of the spring over the Bolt Carriage Idler (#146) and secure it with a Retainer (#45).
