Mend Craftsman LT1000 Starts Fine Lever

Craftsman LT1000 won't move?

Starts great, blade engages fine... but will not move when you push the lever forward or reverse. Acts like the axle or something is locked up... just bogs down when you try to push the lever. Worked great a couple of weeks ago, but came out after lunch and it wouldn't move? The release lever in the back allowing you to push it won't disengage either? If you move the lever in or out, the rear tires will still not move. Is this the problem?
