Mend Craftsman 917-273220 Correct Problem Number

How do I correct this problem?

I have a tractor model number 917-273220 which is shredding and breaking the ground drive belt. It mows for about fifteen minutes then shreds again. All pulley bearings are new and PTO clutch is good.
