Mend NRG 50 Kick Electric Ideas

nrg 50 cc? kick start just dosent engage just goes down and either will the electric start just spins doesnt engage any ideas ??

the outer half of the variator may well be loose ?take the left hand engine transmission cover off but make sure you dont undo the kickstart lever you dont need to,the starter bendix may also be stuck check it while your in there .
