Mend Baxi 80 E Combi Boiler Temperature Control

hot water problem?

baxi 80 e combi boiler
hot water is only luke warm with temprature control turned up max with heating control turned to min to mid , my understanding is that the hot water control should set temp of water and not the heating control???

it should'nt try turning tap off slightly or if the the burner flame is cutting down may be h/water stat or h/water heat exchanger needs cleaning re the c/heating it is more efficient the higher the temperature
