Mend Dell 1600n Printer Paper Tray

dell 1600n printer?

My dell 1600n printer keeps showing paper jam when printing.To clear the problem I have to open the door and close it again. The paper does not feed through to the out tray untill this is done for every print job.Can anybody help please.
