My HP 6110 began displaying 'paper jam' although no paper was jammed. I followed the HP recommendations including cleaning all contact points and the partial and full system reset. I also tried to align and clean the cartridges. Since the printer is over five years old, I plan to replace it rather than invest more money into its repair. The HP 6500 appears to be a compatible replacement.
altho not a solution, I have exactly the same problem. I know nothing about computers/printers etc but also managed to work thro the reset instructions to no avail. I was under the impression the only solution was to have it serviced(mentioned on HP website). Still waiting for inspiration as prob would not be cost effective. ? perhaps a common prob
