washer won't spin, makes squealing noise?

we have a roper heavy duty washing machine. it stopped working partway through the wash cycle. when we try to set it to spin the water out, it doesn't spin and makes a loud sqealing noise.

i'm having problems locating the model #

The Pump for removing the water has snapped (propeller) hence the squealing sound, its the easiest job of all locate replacement try ebay i found one for 15 quid when i was quoted 120 its usually under the drum connected to the little hose that lets you drain the drum
