Mend Optima 700 series Alarm System Electrical

My alarm system has died on me!!!?

How do I fix my optima alarm system? My husband turned off the electrical power yesterday whilst doing a job, when he turned it back on the alarm wouldn't work. The power light is on red, the day light is green, zone 1 is red. None of the buttons are working at all, help!!!!

power down the contol mains and battery. then re apply power alarm will go into alarm enter your code to silence refit battery and cover if your code doesnt respond use the default code 0123 the optima are prone to this lock out

Optima panels are made, I think, by ADE in Merseyside. You should find them in the 'phone book under ADE or Advanced Design Electronics. It probably is the internal battery that's died - an easy job for someone who's in the know.

I am not sure but on the main control panel keypad try activating the alarm as you would when leaving your property, then straight after that re-enter the code to de activate. with some alarms this resets the system when current is interupted. Alternative there could be a reset button somewhere in the control panel.

It also means that the internal backup battery has failed.

your alarm has been reset to factory defaults. you will need to read the manual to find out what these settings are.
