Mend ADT Alarm Sounds Work

when power goes off the alarm system sounds?

I work for the power company in San Antonio Tx, we have a customer whose ADT system sounds off every time the power goes off. I believe it is an older system, which shorts out and causes the alarm to sound. I am going to the customer house tomorrow to ck electrical and test battery for customer. Any ideas.

The battery inside the control panel is dead/flat call it what you will - it needs to be replaced not tested.

Why aren't ADT doing this, no service contract I suppose, there's your problem.
