HAVE A FORD KA WITH NO HEAT, CHANGED VALVE STILL NO HEAT?

HAVE A FORD KA WITH NO HEAT, CHANGED VALVE STILL NO HEAT . IM WONDERING IF THE QUADRANT CONTROL IN THE DASH IS FAULTY AS IT SEEMS VERY LOOSE, I WAS WONDERING IF THE GUBBINGS AT THE BACK WERE LOOSE, PLEASE COULD YOU TELL ME HOW TO GET THE QUADRANT PANEL OFF SO I COULD CHECK, THANKS
