Mend Ford KA Blows Air Cold

Ford KA heater always blows hot?

my Ford KA (54 reg) heater always blows hot air even when set to cold. Somebody mentioned it could be that the heater control valve has broken. Sits under the plastic at the back of the engine bay apparently - what do you reckon?

Ford Ford KA Vehicles, Cars Blows Air Cold

Recently replaced the heater valve (back of engine bay) on my wife's 54 reg KA as heater only blew cold air-it now blows hot all the time-there is an electrical connection to this valve which presumably shuts off water flow to heater-can only assume that for some reason this is not functioning -perhaps a blown fuse.
