my advice is do not attempt a bearing replacement unless you know how. You need a bearing puller to remove the old ones and to replace them. The reason bearing replacement is so expensive when done proffessionaly is that, dependent on the machine it may require a complete strip-down At the least the front and back of the machine has to be removed and the inner drum removed. New seals will almost certainly be required and bearings can easily be damaged while fitting. i have several years experience of washing machine repair, and it is a job I prefer not to do. In fact, if the bearings went in my machine I would consider replacing the machine.
