I have a hotpoint WM51, when its spinning it is rattling, and sounding raw, now the belt has jumped off. Any ideas, is it the bearing? if so how do I repair this?, and which way does it come out? how much will it cost and is it worth repairing?
Defo bearings. Probably Knackered the drum spindle by now also. Would need to strip machine right down to repair plus buy new drum. I'd buy a new machine. Common fault on Hotpoints. Happened to me twice. 1st time drum was ok, 2nd time it was trashed.
