Kenmore Model 1750 suddenly will no longer zig zag stitch?

You mentioned putting a disc in, put the machine on straight stitch, take the disc out, put the disc back in,I think you may have put the disc in and not made sure the finger is on the outside of the disc, when you have the disc in and you select zig zag, if it does not work, look at the finger that runs round the outside of the disc, it should be on the disc following every contour, if it is not, then a spring has most like come off, try this and get back to me if you have problems, e-mail me below.
