how can i fix missed stitching?

I have a Jones 350 zig zag sewing machine that has been working fine until now. Now it will not stitch silky material and even on normal material misses blocks of stitches. Are these connected and is there any way I can correct the problem. If I could get a manual that would be great. Thanks

Hello Rocky,
First of all if it is missing stitches on silky, stretchy synthetic material you would be best using an anti static needle, or, you can put a toilet roll on your lap and feed the toilet roll on top of the fabric then peel it off, if the machine is missing stitches on cotton fabric as well then you may need to retime the machine, if it sews okay on cotton fabric then it is a needle problem, if you type my address as you say it and not as you see it I can attach instructions if you email.
