Mend White 972 Zig Zag Stitch

Can't zig zag stitch on my White 972?

I lost my manual for my White sewing machine model 972 and I can't zig zag stitch. I've done it before but either something's wrong or I've lost my mind and can't figure it out! I think the instructions are the same for the White 979. Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks!
