Mend Brother LS-2125i Machine Zig Zag

How can I retime my sewing machine?

I have a brother LS-2125i sewing machine, it won't do a zig zag stitch. only straight. I've cleaned it, tried the tenison, rethread the top thread and bobin. I was told to retime it but have no clue how to do so. Please Help. need zig zag stitch to finish projects for x-mas.
