No hot air from the cab heater, just cold air, the cab fan works OK but the temp gauge on the dash only moves the width of the needle when first switch on. The rad is hot but I don't know if the rad fans have ever moved - FIAT 2.5 diesel
Really strange answer below but the answer to your problem above is you have stuck thermostat. The fix is to change it.

Found the problem myself - It was the alarm system permanantly immobolising the starter. I've put that bit back to the original - No problem now - No immobiliser but the rest works. Thanks for looking and maybe my experience will help someone else. . . . . . .
