Mend Simpson Eziset550 Washing Machine Repair Agitator

How can I fix my Simpson Eziset550?

The agitator in my washing machine does not agitate anymore. It makes a noise and will try to go one way then the other but only moves ten mills or not at all. Can you help me fix it?

If it is trying to agitate but won't go either way then it sounds like the gears in the gearbox have seized up. Is there any oil on the floor under the machine? Lay the machine down on floor and reach under to the pulley in the centre. See if you can turn it both ways. If not then almost certain something has locked up in the gearbox. Big job to dismantle the machine & remove gearbox for inspection & repair.
