Mend John Deere 5103 Wont Off Gear

Tractor won't start after being shut off in gear?

Our John Deere 2005 5103 Tractor was shut off while still in gear, and now it won't start....we've checked the battery, tapped on the solenoid, but nothing is happening. What else should we check?

Are you sure its out of gear now? There is an inhibiter switch to stop you starting these things whilst they are in gear. Try to roll it or tow it a few yards to make sure it is actually out of gear and maybe the switch will reset itself.
Worth a try eh!
