my vauxhall combo 1.3cdti 2005?

my combo 1.3 cdti loses power somtimes in 5th gear and wont excelarate, so i have to turn the ignition off and start it again then its ok for a while till it happens again, whats wrong with it?

a code reader would maybe give you a clue but egr valves are bad for sticking on these and also turbo waste gates seize up also,these can both be freed off and don`t cost anything to check out.
