Motor in Vacuum cleaner suddenly died Why?

Electrolux tank vacuum cleaner purchased 1997 Model #O.927 Serial07426 please advise as to price for new motor and whether it is worth replacing
I would like to know if this machine motor is available and if the price for it is too high to make it worth replacing. Also, I had been using if for a long time cleaning up very fine dust. Is this the reason the motor stopped working
