Mend Electrolux 25513 Vacuum Cleaner Model

What do I do to stop the motor in my 25513 vacuum cleaner from sparking exc?

The brushes in the motor in my model 25513 vacuum cleaner spark excessively and the motor heats up and stinks. The bearings are good, it rotates easily with no drag and no scraping noises. I removed the brushes, cleaned the commutator, reassembled the motor and it still arcs and sparks. What do I need to do to fix this problem?

You probably need a new motor, sounds like the armature to me. Best getting it checked out by someone in the trade.
