There are 4 screws that allow you to take off the upper 1/2 of the machine, the part where the bag resides. First take out the screw that holds the handle on, it is on the back of the handle near the cord. Remove the handle, by pulling up it will unplug from the lower machine. Next look near where the handle unplugged from and you will see two screws, take these out. Now remove the bag and look into the bottom of the bag housing, near the front on each corner is a screw, you will need a long phillips screw driver to reach these, remove them. The upper housing will now seperate from the lower motor housing, there is the motor. It most likely has brushes that are stuck, and cleaning the brush holders will have you running again.
