Mend Peugeot 206 Light Fuel

petrol gauge reads empty and light on all the time?

peugeot 206 petrol light is on all the time i replaced fuel pump unit to no avail and the dash but orange light stays on . the orange light is even lit when plug unit is removed from tank

Peugeot Peugeot 206 Vehicles, Cars Light Peugeot Fuel

Might be the sensor in tank stuck in lowest position even though tank has fuel in it. This would give incorrect low level fuel and light to stay on. Might need replacing or try giving it a gentle tap. Or remove leads and then reconnect.
