Peugeot 307 1.6hdi 110 54reg, antipollution, abs, diesel adative min low?

Hi guys i bought a peugeot 307 from Birmingham. Saw the car on ebay, bidded on it and won. Went to pick it up, all seemed fine apart from fuel addative min light on and abs which i thought would be a straight forward fix. Got 5 miles from house and then rest of warning lights came on including engine management. So then had Anti pollution fault, abs, fuel addative and engine management lights on. Tried to ring bloke. No answer. Limped it home at 50mph for 115mile, Car shakes if asked to go faster, often throwing out puffs of black smoke/soot. Garage thinks it may be injectors as it mis fires when accelerating. Ticks over fine when sat. Seller denies all knowledge and has no intentions of helping to investigate or cost. (not british)

your abs fault may be the exciter ring on the drive shaft,think they are bad for separating and think you have to fit a driveshaft or weld and refit the ring to the cv joint,your particulate filter may need regenerated for your other fault and mark the con man down on e bay

black him on ebay stopping doing anybody else.you can replace the abs senser or check resistence with omh meter to see if its wrong.then next code read will sort that

Have had faults cleared but as soon as restarted they come back up. ABS is front sensor. Will try your ideas. Thank you.

And don't use cheap diesel. Fill up with BP Ultimate diesel or Shell V Power diesel. A couple of tankfuls of either of those should make a difference.

Give it a proper service too. The air filter is probably clogged.

At least you know why it was being sold.....

(Bet is has been run on cheap supermarket diesel for months and not properly serviced poor thing.)

get the codes cancelled the abs is most likely the sencers to far away on rear ,you can buy a particulate filter cleaner for the tank the additive tank may need refilling check it.also the egr valves stick but the cleaners help this.
