peugeot 307 1.6hdi sw black smoke/soot from exhaust?
Hi people just needing a bit of advice on mrs wifes peugeot 307 sw 1.6hdi, 54 plate. Bought it from a con man everything seems to need to be done on it. When it starts it runs fine but then when you rev it it smokes black, and leaves black soot on the rd. Put it on diagnostics at say numerous things man one being boost sensor, replaced this but no change. Also had 2 new injectors, new fuel and air filter. Fap filter removed and remapped. Engine light on and says antipollution fault on dash. Any sensible advise appreciated.
sounds like the garage is the con man!! they all chuck out black smoke when driven hard, if its diving well and going well and not heavy on fuel then just drive it and stop worrying, cos thats what they want you to do
It is very difficult to determine your fault as it all points to emissions etc,has your cerine/eolys tank been topped up?particulate filter re generated?code reader codes found?EGR valve ok and clean?When people purchase these French motors eg,Peugeot/Renault/Citroen then they need to realise the costs that can be associated with them,myself?I steer clear of any of these and if you look on this site then you realise the problems that come with them.
