Mend Peugeot 206 Indicator Light

Fuel ind lamp always lighted & the fuel indicator needle always down?

The Fuel indicator light stays lighted & the Fuel indicator needle always stays down on my Peugeot 206.
Is it an electrical problem or do i need to change the Fuel pump & Fuel Filter? How do i change the Fuel filter & the Fuel Pump?

hi this problem is usually caused by the tank unit going faulty. if you lift the back seat in the car and have a look under the carpet, that is under the back seat there should be a black plastic lid type thing this is where you can get to the fuel tank and the unit. if it is not there then you will need to get a mechanic to change the tank unit from underneath the car.
