Mend BT Repair Open Unit

BT freelance XC1500 repair?

Hi,

Does anyone know how to open the base unit (the answerphone unit) of the BT freelance XC1500? I have removed the two screws but it looks like the bottom is a "snap on, never off" piece of plastic.
Some liquid has been spilled inside it.
