how do you open a singer motor control?

I need to repair a singer controller model number
103453-009 , it has only one removable screw which
I have removed but the unit remains closed.

all the foot controller differ,some with the one screw only hold a slide pin that can be pulled out once screw is removed,other models have a rubber cover over screws that must be removed first,think yours could be the one with the pin that need to be slide out
