How do you stop a Simpson swt802sa stop BEEPING. ?

Tezza you could be a genius! Well.... so far but from the reviews I just read its more like what next oh yay!

I have this machine along with three of my neighbours, and the neighbourhood beeps all week!! The manual states for 955 models to push and hold the WASH CHOICE button, all other models, push and hold the WATER TEMP button. This doesn't work for 802's.

Turn the machine off at the wall and then turn back on. Press and HOLD for 3 secs the WASH CHOICE button once, sometimes twice. WHEN ALL the lights disappear on the machine, THEN press the WATER TEMP button once. Every time you push WATER TEMP you will turn off or turn on the FINISHED light. When the finished light is ON, the beep cycle is ON. When the FINISHED light is OFF, the beep cycle is OFF. So make sure the finished light is OFF. Then press the start/pause button to save settings.
Remember, after pressing a button, you have 5 secs before all the lights blink and the machine reverts back to previous settings.

call a mechanic and get he recall done on the lid switch.
We did under warrantee and there is a recal due to electric shock risk on this model.
We also needed the control board changed as the machine was wrongly sensing out of balance and beeping during spin mode
