Mend Fisher & Paykel 701 Machine Fill Water Starts

why wont my washing machine fisher & pykel 701 fill up with water?

my washing machine wont fill up with water, it starts and then pauses and starts beeping. if i fill it up manually then it washes like normal until it gets to the next bit where it needs to fill up with water again and pauses again and starts the beeping again.

Is this the cold water solenoid as i only wash in cold.
but i have tried hot and it does the same thing. the machine is 15 years old but it washes (when it is working) fantastically. please help...

Hi again, yes it was the Solenoid, i went and bought one, fitted it myself,, (i am a women and it was pretty easy) only 4 screws..lol and whalaa, FIXED, so if any one is having the same problem.. replace the solenoid, i am in Au and it only cost me $20. so check out ebay or call a local repair center for the part. but you need to pull the old one out first and then you can take it with you to get the new part... cheers Nicole.
