Fault code 49 means that the control board is getting a bad reading from the cold inlet valve circuit. Can be caused by bad connection of wiring plug in to the cold inlet valve. It can also be a faulty water inlet valve or a fault in the main control board itself. Most times it is usually the main board faulty unfortunately. You can check the water valve if you have access to a multimeter tester set on Ohms range it should be approx. 64 ohms across the coil. You could also take out both valves and swap them over. If you still get the same error code as before then the board is faulty. If however the inlet valve is the problem you will now get error code 50 which is a hot valve error. That will be the same lights except the red one will now be off and the deep or final rinse one will be on.
