Mend Sears 917.270780 Lawn Mower Engine Fuel

Engine cutting out and stopping, Sears Craftsman Mod#917.270780?

When mowing the engine will sputter and die like it is losing fuel. The strange thing is as soon as the engine quits turning you can start it again and mow for about 3 minutes or so before it stops again. I was thinking maybe the solenoid was breakinbg down with heat but the sudden restart has me stumped. Thanks for any help.

I tried the safety switch. Still cuts out and stops. Thanks anyway.

Sounds to me like a saftey switch is failing.
Check the connections on the switch under the seat to see if their corroded.
