How do I fix the carberator on my Eager-1 craftsman mower?

This is a model 917.387610 serial number 020702M 011764. I've tried the primer, carbureator cleaner. I will turn over occasionally but quickly dies.

guess it aint so eager after all. get rebuild kit for carb
cleaner only does so much
kits are cheap at your local small eng rep shop
10-25 bucks ,soak carb in paint thinner after dis-
assembly, note carefully how it comes apart, use
written notes, assemble exactly as it was,
may have to inquire as to correct float setting
