Tractor engine dies when engaging blade?

My sears craftsman riding mower model number 917.273634 dies when blade is engaged. I have checked switch under seat and also checked and cleaned under mower. Wht can I do next.

Might be an issue with safety switches. Is there a bag full or bag in place switch to try.
Try bypassing the switches individually until it runs, then you know which one to replace. Do not operate the machine other than for test purposes with a bypassed safety switc
