Mend Craftsman 917254631 Riding Mower Ignition

How can I fix my Rding mower?

I have a Sear's Craftsman 16hp riding mower. Model number is 917254631. Serial number is 2649s06292. I have a new battery,ignition and spark plug. It will only click when I engage the clutch/brake and try to start it. Any answers would be appreciated. Thanks for helping!!!

Sounds you might have a stater solenoid gone bad ,,,,,I had the same thing here ......follow battery cable to where it connects to the solenoid and you can bypass it by jumpin the 2 positive cables together .......with the key on .
