Oiling toyota RS2000 sewing machine?

Trying to sort problem on friends machine. Machine happily winds bobbin but will not sew, very stiff turning knob on side of machine. Should I oil it anywhere to loosen mechanism?

Hello Audrey,
Make sure first of all that you do not have a small piece of thread stuck round the raceway, failing that use WD40 on all moving parts that you can see but oil lightly.
