Mend Simpson 505 Washing Machine Agitator Repair

How do I fix a Simpson Genesis 505 that ties clothes in a knot?

It appears that the agitator in my Simpson Genesis 505 is turning in one direction but not the other. Consequently all the contents gt rapped around the agitator. How do I go about fixing this one?

It will either be a brake/clutch mechanical problem or a electronic controller/ timer problem. Both are not easy to explain due to there complexity in checking, testing or dismantling. Not really a DIY type of repair. You are better off getting someone in who is experienced.
